What are the differences between Cellulite and age spots – how to remove cellulite

Many people do refer to cellulite as symptoms of age spots, but such spots though occur in older women but cannot be regarded as age spots. Cellulite is characterized by dimpling and nodularity, and it is characterized by orange coloured peels which often occur under the limbs.  Just like age spots , cellulite develops in stages with the first stage caused by imbalances in cells and capillaries. This result from poor blood circulation , and when this is left untreated, the body will react by isolating the cells where blood flow has been cut, this will give rise to the second stage of cellulite development.

The second stage of cellulite skin disorder is characterized by the production of  new collagen fibers which cause the encapsulation of the affected skin region. The formation of nodules at the affected skin area is the last stage of cellulite skin disorder. These nodules become bigger and more painful with tendencies to spread to some other areas such as the thighs, hips, knees and sometimes the abdomen.

At the first stage of cellulite development, the formation of the disorder, the infection will only be visible when you apply pressure on the affected skin area, it wouldn’t be visible while standing or laying down. Your legs and feet may often feel heavy at this stage. This is one of the symptoms that cellulites are beginning to form.  The orange peel appearance of the cellulite becomes more pronounced at the second stage of cellulite development , the fibroid outgrowth often become painful even when you press lightly. The cellulite would have spread to the thighs, and buttocks at this stage.

The sclerotic stage, which is the final stage of the cellulite development involves the visible deformation of the skin. The skin becomes hard while the connective tissues of the skin becomes soft and flabby. The affected regions of the skin will remain heavy and painful.

Cellulite symptoms might show some appearances that resemble those of age spots, it is very important to perform some diagnosis before treating the disorder. Am alkaline diet which is designed to reduce the acidity of the skin is very essential in treating or controlling cellulite. The inclusion of essential minerals such as sodium, potassium, and calcium in the diet can also help neutralize acid that trigger cellulite formation on the skin. Acidic foods such as alcohol, cheese, meat and the likes must be controlled to avoid cellulite on skin.
